Wow, what a heat wave!  This weekend saw some extreme heat, and luckily my air conditioner was able to withstand the test.  Looks like the rest of this week will be normal late-July, early-August temperatures.  *whew* (wipes actual sweat from brow)

Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:

‘Financial Twitter Loses a Source of Humility and Wisdom, but Good Voices Remain’ – Jason Zweig – The Wall Street Journal

  • A lovely tribute to a fellow FinTwit member who passed away far too soon, @nonrelatedsense.

‘It’s Okay to Like Your Paycheck’ – Fervent Finance

  • Not everyone is an entrepreneur, and it’s okay to like getting that standard paycheck every two weeks.

‘Retirement is a State of Mind’ – Ramp Capital LLC

  • Retirement means something different to everyone, and often times people “retire” from work and find themselves bored, searching for something to do.  That shouldn’t be how retirement goes.

‘Easy to See, Hard to See Why’ – Stefan Cheplick

  • Whether you’re debating P/E ratios or how an airplane flies, a lot of people have opinions about things that they don’t fully understand.
