Tim’s Top Links – 3/5/19

We are officially at the halfway point of Spring Training.  Only a few more weeks until we have MLB games every night!  And only a few more DAYS until we get some March Madness basketball.  The “sports dark days” in between the Super Bowl and baseball season are almost over!

Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:

‘You Have a 401(k)…So Now What?’ – Rob Walsh – Northeast Wealth Planners

  • Having a 401(k) at work is a great thing.  Having a 401(k) at work that you UNDERSTAND is an even better thing.  Rob outlines 4 key points to keep in mind when dealing with your 401(k) at work.

‘Nosedive’ – Ramp Capital LLC

  • Talking about money has always been a taboo subject for us humans, but why?  In his latest post, Ramp talks about that taboo subject and more.

‘Just A Little Bit More’ – Michael Batnick – The Irrelevant Investor

  • Michael addresses the hedonic treadmill people face every day of never having “enough”.  Even those who make the most money think others make more than they do, and ‘just a little bit more’ would finally get them to “enough”.

‘No Laws, Only Tendencies’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data

  • In the investing world, there are no physical laws taking place, like in physics.  Nick addresses an answer given by Howard Marks recently about how there are only tendencies in the market.  But what are those tendencies?  Nick breaks it down for you!
